Position Summary:
As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety policies, guidelines, and procedures are followed within the warehouse environment. You will play a key role in identifying risks, conducting safety training, and enforcing compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Your work will be critical in maintaining a safe workplace, preventing accidents, and ensuring that employees follow proper safety protocols across multiple locations and shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist in enforcing safety policies, guidelines, and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Identify potential risks and hazards and collaborate on implementing corrective action plans.
• Support in developing and conducting site-specific safety training, including orientations and emergency response drills.
• Assist in building and updating company-wide safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safe work practices.
• Conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments, documenting findings and implementing corrective measures.
• Assist in reviewing accidents and incidents, conducting investigations to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain and manage all safety-related documentation, including training records, incident reports, and safety audits.
• Help lead Safety Committee meetings, facilitating discussions on safety improvements and employee concerns.
• Assist in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and regular safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Stay up-to-date with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, ensuring that the site meets all compliance standards.
• Be flexible and able to cover multiple buildings and shifts, ensuring a consistent approach to safety across all operations.
Job Requirements:
• Two plus years of experience in a related EHS role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements.
• Experience in conducting JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and performing safety audits.
• Familiarity with safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigation processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance documentation, including OSHA and other relevant regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and training skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple sites and shifts.
