Job Summary:

Establish, implement, facilitate, and coordinate hospital-wide Risk Management and Patient Safety programs as well as Emergency Preparedness program in a manner that ensures compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting requirements, laws, standards, and guidelines. Proactively work to prevent situations which can result in harm or potentially result in harm. Maintain ongoing assessments of the Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Emergency Preparedness programs. Work with leadership to create a culture of safety and develop and implement annual priorities for each of the programs. Plan, organize, and implement training for staff and conduct drills at required intervals. Keep all required plans up to date. Work closely with Maintenance on construction to ensure compliance with regulations.
