Job Description
The Queensland Government is hiring an Environmental Health Officer for a temporary full-time position at Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Responsibilities include providing environmental health services, maintaining documentation, participating in quality improvement activities, and committing to ongoing professional development. Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise, and skill in the provision of environmental health services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols. For complex or novel cases, you will seek direction from seniors as appropriate.
Maintain appropriate documentation and client records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems (statistics collection, quality data). Ensure that time spent across clinical and non-clinical work is in keeping with assigned requirements.
Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve public health services, including the development of environmental health practices, procedures, and protocols within the work environment.
Commit to ongoing professional, service, and individual development through participation in activities including professional development activities, professional supervision, supervision of students or assistants, research activities.
Temporary full time position for up to 10 months. Remuneration value up to $11,047.25 p.m., comprising salary between $3,030.00 - $4,453.50 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (temporary position available for ten months).
