Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Shirley Parsons is seeking a long-term contract EHS Manager for a data center construction project in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role involves developing and implementing health and safety procedures, conducting compliance reviews, and participating in incident investigations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive construction safety experience, and relevant certifications. Local candidates preferred, as no relocation or per diem is offered.
Shirley Parsons is currently recruiting a long term contract EHS Consultant for a data center construction project in Elk Grove, IL.

The candidate must have extensive experience in construction safety, ideally supporting heavy commercial construction project support and strong electrical background.

Must be LOCAL to the area. No relocation or per diem available.

The Role:
• Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.
• Manage and perform activities to ensure compliance with the site EHS program.
• Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

The Candidate:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree preferred
• NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI electrical standards
• Commercial/Data Center Construction Experience Required
• CHST or CSP Required/OSHA 500 and 510 Required
• 5-10+ years of EHS experience in a construction environment preferred
• Strong communication skills, and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
