Job Description
Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an Environmental Geology Researcher in Raleigh, NC. The role involves applying geological and scientific knowledge, conducting fieldwork (up to 80%), technical writing, and data analysis. Candidates should be enrolled in a relevant degree program and possess skills in ArcView, CADD, and Microsoft Office. A valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel to project sites.

• *Job Responsibilities:**
• Apply engineering, geologic, hydrogeologic, and scientific academic knowledge to real-world situations;
• Learn the business skills needed for a successful consulting career;
• Conduct fieldwork up to 80% such as soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and drilling and contractor oversight following training;
• Assist with geologic/hydrogeologic calculations using computer-based technical tools;
• Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
• Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
• *Qualifications:
• Currently registered in a Bachelors or Masters university degree program in an applicable field;
• Degree focus areas in hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry, or environmental geology;
• Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office;
• Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral, and written communication and problem-solving skills;
• Valid U.S. drivers license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites.
