Environmental Field Technician

Converse Consultants is seeking an Environmental Field Technician for their Las Vegas, NV office. This full-time or part-time role involves 90% outdoor work and requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and physical stamina. Candidates should have at least 1 year of environmental sampling experience, construction oversight experience, and excellent communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Science is preferred, along with OSHA HAZWOPER certification and a valid driver's license.
Converse Consultants is a consulting engineering firm that provides Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Soils and Materials Testing and Inspection, Environmental Services, and Water Resources.

The Converse Consultants Las Vegas, NV office is seeking a highly organized and positive person for the full time or part-time Environmental Field Technician.

Role Description

Full time or part time position with 90% of the time working outdoors in winter and summer weather. It requires attention to detail and conscientious work with the ability to be efficient and solve problems.

Qualifications

The ideal person will be responsible for conducting field work with the following abilities:
• 1 year of relevant environmental sampling experience
• Ability to perform field work requiring physical exertion
• Construction oversight experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certified.
• Groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling experience
• Nevada Project Monitor license for asbestos, preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license and insurance

Education Requirements

Bachelor in Science desired, experience preferred.
