Alliance Source Testing, LLC is seeking an Environmental Field Technician (Air Sampling) in Lewisville, TX. Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Environmental Science or related fields, with a preference for QSTI certification. The role involves field testing, compliance evaluations, and requires knowledge of source testing methods and safety protocols. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and technical writing abilities, along with experience in laboratory analysis and regulatory interpretation.

We provide Stack Testing Services to partners with permit, MACT, or NSPS testing requirements; CEMS Evaluations in support of Part 60, 63 and 75 programs; Onsite Analytical Services in support of testing projects including FTIR, GC/FID, GC/FPD, IC, gravimetric and multiple titrations; and Fugitive Emissions Evaluations in support of LDAR and Greenhouse Gas monitoring programs.

Job Description
The ideal candidate for this position will be pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related degree. Candidates possessing QSTI certifications are preferred. All field testing employees are encouraged to seek QSTI certification.
The goal of the SES QSTI exam and abilities assessment is to determine whether the candidate demonstrates knowledge and the ability to apply source testing methods and fundamental engineering and chemistry principles in a manner consistent with that of a field test team leader. In addition to thorough and practical knowledge of source testing methods, those principles include an understanding of elementary physical gas laws and chemistry, basics of safety and hazardous material handling, and primary theories of source testing (e.g., isokinetic and proportional sampling).
The candidate is expected to exemplify and demonstrate professional and ethical conduct not only during the exam process but also in representing SES as a QSTI.

Alliance Source Testing provides Part 60, Part 63, and Part 75 continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS) evaluations and relative accuracy test audits (RATA) for PM and Mercury CEMS for industrial customers, equipment suppliers, and third-party CEMS integrators.
Qualifications
QSTI Certification Preferred -
BS in Environmental Science or Related Degree Field. Academic knowledge of EPA, SW-846, NCASI, etc, and testing methods. Field experience with EPA, SW-846, NCASI, etc. and hands-on experience in testing methods, knowledge and demonstrated experience with laboratory analysis and methodologies, technical writing, regulatory interpretation, demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and with Adobe, Demonstrated skill in communicating with craft/trade employees, regulators & governmental representatives, as well as senior executive level client representatives. Demonstrated knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical terminology and troubleshooting.
Must be willing and capable of significant travel requiring multiple overnight stays - travel required 85% to 98% of work schedule. Must have the ability to lift objects up to 75 lbs, climb to heights of up to 350 feet, operate hand tools with dexterity, and distinguish between shades of color. Must have the ability to pass a DOT physical, a national criminal background, and have/maintain a clean driving record.
