Job Description

Haley & Aldrich USA is seeking a Summer 2026 Environmental Engineer or Scientist Intern in Honolulu, HI. The role involves field and office support for environmental projects, data evaluation, and site visits. Candidates should be pursuing a relevant degree and possess strong communication skills. The internship lasts approximately 12 weeks, offering hands-on experience and a competitive wage of $23-$26 per hour.
Join Haley & Aldrich as a Summer 2026 Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist Intern, assisting project teams with field and office tasks in Hawaii.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:
• Serve in a field support role on technically challenging projects.
• Assist office engineers and project managers with planning and execution of environmental programs.
• Evaluate environmental data.
• Visit airport facilities and construction sites to support airport tenants and construction inspection groups.
• Prepare and deliver a presentation summarizing your internship experience and technical projects.
• Demonstrate initiative, willingness to learn, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Use strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in MS Office software.
• Perform field sampling, lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, bending, walking on uneven ground, and working outdoors following Health & Safety guidelines and using PPE.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
• At least 2 years into an academic program pursuing a baccalaureate degree.
• Enrolled in environmental science, civil/environmental engineering, natural resources, geology, or geoscience (undergraduate or graduate).
• Possess a driver’s license (highly preferred).
• Ability to work full-time for approximately 3 consecutive months (minimum 12 weeks preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player mindset.

Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly wage range: $23 - $26, based on education, experience, certifications, skills, and market conditions.
