About the position

Haley & Aldrich is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist or Civil Engineer to join their Spokane, WA office. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of environmental field experience who are passionate about solving complex challenges in environmental projects. The role involves working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to conduct environmental studies and design documents, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities
• Conduct routine data collection, synthesis, and analysis using approved procedures appropriate for their discipline.

• Perform environmental site investigation and associated field work.
,
• Perform and observe construction remediation field work.
,
• Perform groundwater and temperature monitoring and soil and water sampling.
,
• Assist with pilot testing.
,
• Assist in identifying technical issues and approaches for evaluation.
,
• Review and apply applicable regulations as appropriate.
,
• Conduct site reconnaissance.
,
• Document project-related activities.
,
• Assist project engineers with environmental data analyses.
,
• Be good at troubleshooting and dealing with problems in remote locations.
,
• Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
,
• Contribute to development of technical approaches to problem-solving.
,
• Assist with the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposal efforts on small- to medium-sized project opportunities.
,
• Observe and document field investigations and/or foundation and earthwork-related construction activities on a periodic basis.
,
• Take ownership for task completion and be resourceful with solutions and proactive with questions.
,
• Willingness to travel to support project work.

Requirements
• B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.

• Has or applies for initial professional certification in their core discipline, where applicable, such as EIT, FE, GIT or Equiv.
,
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER and MSHA certifications preferred.
,
• Relevant work experience a plus.
,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
,
• Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard PC-based software.
