Develop and implement sustainable solutions to protect and improve the environment within the city of St. Louis.
Conduct research and analyze data to identify environmental issues and develop effective strategies to address them.
Collaborate with other city departments and external organizations to coordinate and implement environmental projects.
Stay updated on current environmental regulations and policies, and ensure compliance in all city projects.
Create and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Use engineering principles and techniques to design and implement environmentally friendly infrastructure and systems.
Conduct site assessments and evaluations to identify potential environmental hazards and recommend solutions.
Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to city officials and stakeholders.
Communicate and work closely with community members and organizations to promote environmental awareness and education.
Monitor and track the progress and effectiveness of environmental projects and make adjustments as needed.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and advancements in the field of environmental engineering.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Represent the city in meetings, conferences, and public events related to environmental issues.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all environmental projects.
Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all environmental engineering activities.
