Environmental Engineer - Watershed Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer - Watershed Planning to join our team at the City of Durham, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing projects and tasks for watershed improvement plans, stormwater retrofits, green stormwater infrastructure projects, and stream restoration projects.

You will work closely with the Stormwater Division of the Public Works Department to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and five years of related experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and implement projects and tasks for watershed improvement plans, stormwater retrofits, green stormwater infrastructure projects, and stream restoration projects.
• Conduct reviews of drawings and calculations, process applications, conduct inspections, respond to customer questions, and assist with contract administration and management.
• Develop project scopes, research design options, obtain permits, maintain records, plan, design, operate, and maintain systems and structures in the assigned area of operation.
