Job Description
KOMAN Government Solutions seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer for their Exton, PA operations. Responsibilities include project planning, field investigations, and treatment plant maintenance. Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields and 3-8 years of experience. Candidates must be willing to travel frequently (25-50%) and have HAZWOPER training. KOMAN Government Solutions has an immediate need for a seasoned Environmental Engineer to support our operations in Exton, PA. Assignments will typically be related to one or more of the following: project plan preparation and permitting; site investigation, environmental monitoring and multimedia sampling; remedial action implementation and operation & maintenance (O&M); landfill maintenance and monitoring; facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning and Execution....
• Lead and support project plan preparation
• Identify and prepare permit applications
• Coordinate and lead field investigations/sampling events
• Assist with identifying and procuring the necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Field Investigation...
• Lead, coordinate, and support field investigations/sampling events
• Collect environmental samples and field measurements
• Ensure project plans and associated safety and quality control requirements are implemented
• Maintain field forms and other documentation
• Summarize data and assist with technical report preparation
Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance...
• Become familiar with O&M Manual and permit requirements
• Analyze field and lab data and recommend improvements where needed
• Review operator logs and process sample results to ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist with optimization/treatment system modifications
• Lead report preparation
• Lead, coordinate, and support performance monitoring events
• Manage project databases when needed
Remediation/Construction Projects...
• Assist Site Superintendent with project oversight to ensure all work elements are performed in accordance plans and requirements
• Identify and assist in procuring equipment, materials, and subcontractors required for project
• Lead report preparation
Project Management Support....
• Assist project manager with cost estimating, proposal preparation, and budget/schedule tracking
• Serve as site safety and health officer and or field quality control supervisor when needed
• Mentor junior staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, geology, or related science.
• 3-8 years of relevant work experience
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
• Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) or ability to obtain before commencing employment
• Ability and willingness to undertake frequent travel (estimated 25-50% on average)
• Ability to work overtime when required
