Environmental Ecosystem Manager

The Environmental Ecosystem Manager at IOWA ASSN SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT will develop and implement conservation plans, work with landowners and agencies, conduct assessments, and provide technical assistance. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Conservation Ecology, relevant experience, and strong communication skills. The role offers opportunities for professional development and contributes to local ecosystem conservation efforts. This is a full-time position based in Stacyville, IA.
About the Role

The Environmental Ecosystem Manager will work closely with landowners, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective conservation plans. This includes conducting on-site and off-site monitoring, providing technical assistance, and consulting with easement holders.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive conservation management plans.
• Coordinating with landowners and partner agencies to achieve conservation goals.
• Conducting site visits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Providing technical guidance and support to landowners and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in Conservation Ecology or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in wetland or wildlife habitat development and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate UTV/ATV.
