About the position

The Environmental Document Writer position, classified as Transportation Program Specialist 3, is a critical role within the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). This position is based in Duluth, MN, and offers the flexibility of telework, requiring in-office attendance for meetings at least once a week. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical expertise in environmental documentation, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field can substitute for one year of experience. Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise in environmental documentation for MnDOT District 1.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Requirements
• Three years of professional experience in water resources and/or environmental science with an emphasis on regulatory compliance.

• Knowledge in preparing environmental documents and reviewing environmental documents.
