Job Description

TRINITY CONSULTANTS is seeking an Environmental Consulting Specialist in Charleston, WV. The role involves conducting air dispersion modeling, preparing environmental permit applications, and maintaining client relationships. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-4 years of experience. Responsibilities include mentoring junior consultants and managing client information. This position does not include supervisory duties and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

SUMMARY

Join our team as an Environmental Consulting Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with environmental regulations and ensuring compliance through your expertise in environmental consulting services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Responsibilities:
• Conduct air dispersion modeling analysis tailored to project specifications and established guidelines.
• Analyze air emissions and recommend necessary control technologies, while documenting processes to guarantee client operations comply with applicable regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in air pollution control technologies.

2. Regulatory Knowledge:
• Prepare a variety of environmental permit applications, including amendments and fee calculations, for submission to state regulatory agencies on behalf of industrial clients.
• Continuously review existing and emerging environmental regulations relevant to industrial clients.

3. Client Engagement:

Foster strong relationships with current clients, actively seek new project opportunities, and effectively communicate analytical results both verbally and in writing.

4. Mentorship:

Support junior consultants on projects and engage in training sessions to promote professional development.

5. Database Management:

Ensure timely updates of client information in our internal database.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science from a four-year college or university or foreign equivalent; and at least two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in computer skills, including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheet development, and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Competence in writing reports and business correspondence, and presenting information effectively to managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Proficient in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well as applying basic algebra and geometry concepts.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Competence in interpreting various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
