Senior Environmental Scientist/Junior Project Manager/Project Manager - Environmental Consulting (Oil & Gas)

This position is based in Broomfield, CO. Qualified candidates must be able to make the commute or be willing to relocate.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support our environmental consulting projects in the oil and gas sector in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental stewardship, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (ECMC), and the ability to assist in managing multiple projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental remediation projects in the oil and gas industry, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and state regulations.

- Oversee the completion of site assessments, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory compliance evaluations to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, scientists, and field personnel to develop and implement project plans.

- Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory forms in accordance with applicable state and local regulations.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or deviations from project plans, and propose solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.

- Maintain regular communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and facilitate approvals.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to oil and gas operations (e.g., ECMC, CO DWR, CDPHE).

· Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.

· Implement successful leadership skills to coach, problem solve, and lead a large diverse team.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced office environment but requires occasional fieldwork in various weather conditions for project oversight. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend client meetings as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with extended hours occasionally required.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or related field.

- 4-7 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on the oil and gas industry preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver’s license.
