U.S. Compliance is seeking an Environmental Consultant (Waste & Water) to join their EHS compliance firm. The role involves regulatory assessment, permit applications, compliance reporting, and client support, with a focus on environmental compliance. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience. The position allows for remote work and requires occasional travel to client sites, with location options including Madison, WI, Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, or Houston, TX.

U.S. Compliance is excited to be adding to our amazing team as we are growing exponentially and need your expertise! Location options include Madison, WI;
Indianapolis, IN;
Cincinnati, OH; or Houston, TX. This role would not need to report to the corporate office.
Job Responsibilities:
Research and assess facility operations for regulatory applicability Complete NPDES water permit applications (industrial discharge & stormwater runoff) Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) & other spill plans required by NPDES permits Prepare compliance reports and documentation Assist with hazardous waste characterizations, manifesting, training, & onsite waste management Build expertise in specific environmental compliance disciplines Provide on-site visits to clients for inspections, compliance support, and regulatory training Support environmental departments including air quality, SPCC development and EPCRA reporting Collaborate with other U.S. Compliance practitioners to execute environmental deadlines and projects
Position Requirements :
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related science discipline Minimum of five (5) years' work experience with an industrial, research, consulting, or regulatory agency Ideal candidate will have five (5) years of experience in NPDES permitting and/or RCRA compliance Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory authorities and applicable environmental regulations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365:
Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics Excellent verbal and written communication, comfortable hosting presentations, and interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills to support multiple activities on an ongoing basis by the given deadline Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a diverse workload Strong attention to detail Flexible and willing to support diverse projects as needed Ability to travel to client sites for routine visits regionally and/or nationally (approx.
20% of the time) Must be within one hour of an international airport
