Job Summary
Barr Engineering Co. is seeking a skilled geologist to join our team in the Bismarck office. As an environmental consultant, you will be responsible for conducting site assessments, investigations, and remediation projects related to contaminated sites. Your expertise will be essential in developing site conceptual models, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with project teams.

• Conduct environmental site assessments and investigations
• Develop site conceptual models and prepare technical reports

• Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and project team members

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or geological engineering
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
• Strong computer skills including word processing and use of spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently and with teams of specialists

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or geological engineering
• Coursework related to groundwater flow
• 1-3 years of experience related to environmental work
• HAZWOPER certification
• Familiarity with environmental regulations
