Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Conservation Professional to join our team at the Iowa Association of Soil Conservation Districts. This role will play a critical part in restoring, protecting, and enhancing wetlands on private lands in Iowa.
Main Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with landowners and conservation organizations to develop and implement wetland restoration plans.
• Work closely with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to ensure effective delivery of conservation programs.
• Conduct site visits and monitoring activities to assess the success of restoration efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A strong understanding of wildlife ecology, wetland-associated species, and upland management principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and ArcGIS or USDA Conservation Desktop.
• A valid driver's license and ability to operate UTV/ATV vehicles safely.
