Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Scientist V to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for leading and managing environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting the responsible use and management of groundwater resources.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and project management abilities, and a deep understanding of environmental laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct field studies and inspections to ensure compliance with permit and regulatory requirements
• Analyze and interpret scientific data to inform decision-making and policy development
• Develop and implement effective solutions to complex environmental problems
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote inter-agency partnerships and advance environmental goals
• Prepare reports, permits, and other documents to support environmental projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Master's degree in an environmentally related scientific discipline
• Scientific prominence or recognition through publication in a scientific or trade journal
• Five years' experience in environmental or natural resources project management, including planning, developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating environmental or natural resources projects
• Five years' experience in analyzing and evaluating scientific data
• Five years' experience in interpreting environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
