BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Environmental Attorney in Los Angeles, CA, with 1-10+ years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and litigation. Position Overview

Environmental practices nationwide are seeking attorneys with 1–10+ years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, enforcement defense, climate-related law, and environmental due diligence. These positions offer the chance to work on cutting‑edge regulatory matters, support major development projects, and counsel clients on emerging ESG trends and sustainability strategies. Associates enjoy hands‑on responsibility, partner access, and strong professional support.

Key Responsibilities
• Advise clients on federal and state environmental compliance, including EPA, CEQA, NEPA, and related frameworks
• Handle environmental litigation, enforcement actions, and administrative proceedings
• Manage permitting processes for air, water, wetlands, and related environmental areas
• Address hazardous waste issues, including matters under RCRA and CERCLA
• Counsel clients on climate change regulations, renewable energy issues, ESG policies, and sustainability initiatives
• Conduct environmental due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and development projects

Qualifications
• 1–10+ years of environmental law experience
• Background in regulatory compliance and environmental litigation
• Familiarity with permitting requirements and hazardous waste regulations
• Experience with climate, renewable energy, or ESG-related matters
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulations
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage sophisticated environmental matters and permitting processes
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of handling multiple concurrent projects
