Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its Washington, D.C. office. The role involves handling a broad range of environmental issues, including litigation and compliance with various environmental statutes.
Duties
• Engage in environmental litigation related to agency challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act and core environmental statutes.
• Support due diligence and risk mitigation in corporate and real estate transactions.
• Advise on compliance with RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, FIFRA, and state laws.
• Assist with climate disclosure and ESG issues.
• Collaborate with partners on environmental enforcement matters.
Requirements
• Admitted to the D.C. Bar or eligible to waive in.
• 2-4 years of experience in environmental law.
• Experience advising energy, chemical, or transportation companies preferred.
Education
• Strong academic credentials required.
Certifications
• Admitted to the D.C. Bar or eligible to waive in.
Skills
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work on diverse matters as part of a dynamic team.
