Job Description
Clean Water Action is seeking a Spring Intern for their Environmental Advocate position in Northampton, MA. This internship offers training in grassroots organizing and political advocacy focused on environmental issues. Interns will engage with local citizens, gaining valuable experience in the non-profit sector while advocating for causes like climate change and environmental justice. The role includes a starting rate of $18/hr and a supportive workplace culture.

For 50 years Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections through grassroots organizing, expert policy research and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public. Candidates who possess a strong commitment to environmental, social, and political justice will be well suited for this role.
Our staff consists of committed, professional highly skilled activists. Interns receive extensive training and continuing support on issue knowledge and campaign skills. All interns receive regular updates given by political or environmental authorities or from within our organization. We have a strong and early focus on career development that involves travel and management training opportunities.
Our grassroots political organizers and interns speak to local citizens about state issues, informing and educating the public, building support and channeling that support into action.
