Tronox is seeking an Environmental Advisor for its Ginkgo mine site near Mildura, VIC, Australia. The role involves providing technical advice on environmental compliance and sustainability, conducting audits, and supporting regional sites. The position operates on a 4/3 roster with DIDO arrangements, and relocation assistance may be available.

About the Role

The Environmental Advisor, reporting to the Environmental Lead, is responsible for delivering technical advice, guidance, and support on all environmental, sustainability, and compliance matters to assist the Tronox business.

This position is primarily based at our Ginkgo mine site, located approximately 2 hours northeast of Mildura, New South Wales, but will also provide support to regional sites as needed. While the role is ideally suited for candidates from the Mildura area, relocation assistance may be available in certain circumstances.

The role operates on a 4/3 roster, with a DIDO (Drive In, Drive Out) schedule, where you will stay at camp during the week. Site accommodation, meals, and access to gym facilities are provided while on-site.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and implement the site's Environmental Management Strategy, including any management plans, procedures, policies, and related documents
• Conduct site environmental audits and inspections to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with the collection, collation, interpretation, and reporting of accurate data for environmental compliance reporting (NPI, NGERS, EPA Annual Return, AEMR)
• Assist with environmental monitoring requirements (Groundwater, surface water, air quality, radiation)
• Promote sound environmental management practices to site personnel through awareness programs and education
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and assistance with respect to all environmental, sustainability, and compliance matters to support the business operations
• Assist with investigations and reporting on environmental incidents
• Assist with leading and managing consultants and contractors
• Engage and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

About You:
• You are prepared to live in the Mildura region (DIDO to Pooncarie NSW)
• You have full working rights in Australia - No restrictions
• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering or Natural Resource Management.
• Previous experience in environmental management within the mining industry (highly desirable)
• Sound knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and risk management is preferred
• Demonstrated planning, analytical, report writing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and positively influence a wide range of stakeholders
• A strong attitude towards safety, environment, and improvement
