Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an Environmental Advisor for their Cumbria location. The role involves environmental representation, waste management, and EHS performance inspections within the construction sector. In line with our forward growth plan for the successful PPP (Programme & Project Partners) consortium, we now seek an Environmental Support Advisor to join our fantastic team in Cumbria. You'll enjoy working with colleagues/partners who embrace a collaborative approach, a genuine desire to do a great job and an empowerment to develop and grow with a company who pride themselves on a world class approach to HSE and who positively encourage new ideas.

You'll be providing environmental representation and liaison with the construction team and contractors, including at project site induction briefs, line of site and stakeholder meetings, management of solid waste including duty of care inspections and oversight, liaison with waste contractors and Sellafield waste advisors. You'll also be involved with the Sellafield Wildlife officer managing ecological affairs.

Also, you will undertake inspections, observation, and assurance activities to identify and highlight EHS performance gaps, determine root causes and corrective actions in order to improve EHS performance.

You'll need a good eye for detail, great communication and planning skills alongside the ability to write and compile reports and data. You'll enjoy a really varied role where no 2 days are ever the same.

With ideally an NVQ in a STEM subject or Environmental qualification and ideally some experience gained in a construction related you'll have a wide knowledge of hazards with a balanced and proactive attitude to safety. You'll possess the ability to challenge if required but at the same time we'll be looking to you to blossom in your career and bring energy, enthusiasm, a 'can do' attitude and possibly some new ideas and different perspectives.

You should be prepared go through the relevant Nuclear security protocols.
