About the position

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within a multi-billion dollar manufacturing facility located in western Iowa. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices throughout the organization. The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs that not only meet regulatory requirements but also enhance the overall safety culture of the plant. This includes providing technical support, developing training programs, and building strong relationships with employees at all levels to ensure a collaborative approach to safety and environmental stewardship. In this role, the EHS Manager will manage all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and sustainable development programs. This includes leading a dedicated team of employees who support the EHS initiatives and ensuring that all programs are effectively communicated and implemented across the facility. The EHS Manager will also be responsible for delivering training programs to managers and employees, ensuring that everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe working environment. Active engagement with employees is essential, as the EHS Manager will promote plant safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability stewardship through various initiatives and programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS management within a manufacturing setting, with a proven track record of promoting an accident-free environment. This includes experience in conducting inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implementing corrective and preventative measures. Responsibilities

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety or directly related.

• 3+ years of hands-on, in-plant EHS experience within a manufacturing plant.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and achieve goals. Experience building and leading teams.

• Experience in conducting inspections and audits to detect existing or potential accidents and determine corrective/preventative measures.

• Proven success in promoting an accident-free environment by developing, implementing and maintaining programs.
