About the position

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator at Hunter Engineering Company is responsible for promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing plant in Raymond, MS. This role involves developing and improving safety plans, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The EHS Coordinator will collaborate with various teams to enhance safety practices and manage safety-related documentation and events.

Responsibilities
• Be a safety resource and promote a 'Safety Always' culture.

• Assist with the development and continuous improvement of written safety plans.

• Make recommendations to resolve safety issues using best practices and regulatory standards.

• Develop, conduct, and maintain Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Assessments.

• Create content for safety training programs and ensure proper delivery.
,
• Conduct safety training on various topics for employees at all levels.
,
• Direct and assist in safety compliance audits and inspections.
,
• Analyze and compile safety data and generate reports as required.
,
• Guide the incident analysis process for safety events.
,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

• Promote continual improvement platforms like Lean and 5S.

• Manage training data, inspection data, and safety audits documentation.

• Organize safety-promoting events and activities.

Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in Safety Management is required, or a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety and compliance concepts.

• Advanced knowledge of Safety Hazard Identification and OSHA standards.

• Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner).

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
