Avature is seeking a Senior Environmental Analyst for its Streetsboro, OH Distribution Center. The role involves overseeing environmental compliance, managing hazardous waste, and developing sustainability initiatives. Candidates should have a degree in Environmental Sciences and relevant experience. Responsibilities include managing contractors, conducting audits, and responding to environmental emergencies. The position offers flexible time off and various employee perks but is not a remote position.

What you will do:

This position will oversee the environmental requirements at a 650,000 sq ft Distribution Center. Candidates must work well in a team environment and be passionate about environmental compliance. This position will be responsible for all aspects of an environmental program in a distribution setting. The Streetsboro DC is an ISO 45001 Certified site and believes in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
• The Streetsboro DC is an LQG. Managing LQG requirements is a must.
• Have experience in managing Haz Waste, SPCC, RMP and Air permits.
• Develop recycling and waste reduction initiatives.
• Manages outside environmental contractors working onsite.
• Completes monthly inspections.
• Develops L4TF (L’Oreal For The Future) programs to meet our 2030 goals.
• Manages and leads the L4TF initiative.
• Will participate on the site Spill & First Aid Teams.
• Participates on “Green Team” calls with colleagues.
• Ensures all environmental procedures are being adhered to.
• Where necessary writes procedures based on L’Oreal corporate guidelines.
• Oversees and conducts audits of contractors working onsite.
• Provides training to the team on environmental and other relevant topics.
• Works with outside vendors & contractors.
• Reviews and tracks energy savings and shares this information with the management team.
• Working over-time when required.
• Tracks training.
• Respond to off-hour environmental emergencies if they arise.

Destruction:
• Processing of destructions - Systematic and Physical destructions (Products, E-Waste, etc.).
• Systematic Destruction – Computer movements in WMS and SAP.
• Physical Destruction - Overseeing the pickups and loading of destructions.
• Retaining of records of destructions for auditing purposes.
• Maintain satellite scrap accumulation areas throughout the warehouse.

Education & Experience:

A degree in Environmental Sciences or related field with 2+ years of experience is preferred. Computer Skills: (e.g. MS Office including Excel, Word & Power Point) are essential. Excellent written and verbal skills. This position will report to the Sr Manager of EHS & Facilities.
