Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is seeking an Environmental & Social Impact Specialist for the EIB-funded Maritsa East Complex project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025 for 20 months. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related fields, 10 years of relevant experience, and expertise in EU regulations. Fluency in English and proficiency in GIS tools are required. This is a full-time position located in Venice, Italy.
NTU International A/S leads a consortium for the implementation of the EIB-funded Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex project. We are seeking experts to support the core team during this initiative.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The project is scheduled to commence in July 2025 and will last for approximately 20 months.
Key Expert: Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

We require an individual with expertise in environmental and social impact assessments, as well as experience in EU environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering is essential.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.
• Proficiency in GIS and environmental impact modelling tools is desirable.
• Professional Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in conducting environmental and social impact assessments for energy and industrial projects is necessary.
• Desirable Skills:
• Expertise in EU environmental regulations, permitting, and impact mitigation strategies.
• Experience conducting Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and EIA compliance assessments for renewable energy and industrial projects.
