Job Overview
The Environmental Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that all operations adhere to environmental regulations and standards while promoting best practices in waste management, resource conservation, and pollution prevention. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for environmental stewardship.

Duties
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential environmental risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee wastewater treatment processes, ensuring effective operation and compliance with environmental standards.
• Manage research data collection related to environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build and maintain distributed control systems and logic controllers for efficient operations.
• Provide training and support to staff on environmental practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Coordinate heavy equipment operation for environmental projects, including tanker operations when necessary.
• Assist in the repair of equipment used in environmental monitoring and treatment processes.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness of environmental issues.

Skills
• Proficient in distributed control systems and logic controllers.
• Knowledgeable in wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct research data collection effectively.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation, including tankers.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks.
