Salary: $120,000-135,000

Overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our client’s Health and Safety department. You will ensure the site achieves its health and safety objectives by working collaboratively with the Corporate EHS team and Operations Leaders to develop and implement improvement plans.

Responsibilities
• Industrial Hygiene Program: Lead the site industrial hygiene program, implementing a comprehensive sampling strategy to protect worker health, safety, and the environment.
• Exposure Reduction Programs: Assist facility leadership in executing beryllium exposure reduction initiatives, including policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Improvement Plans: Develop and support the execution of long-range EHS improvement plans; provide leadership and guidance on industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, and beryllium exposure mitigation.
• Compliance and Safety Monitoring: Ensure site compliance with general health and safety aspects such as ergonomics, noise exposure, indoor air quality, and ventilation controls. Understand and apply ventilation and air pollution control device design principles.
• Detailed Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed reports and findings on program specifics to all organizational levels.
• Collaboration: Work with Corporate EHS and Product Stewardship groups onsite for industrial hygiene and safety improvements.
• Technology Advancements: Monitor technological advancements and potential performance improvements for programs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal processed and regulatory health and safety requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in EHS-related topics and help incorporate human and organizational performance.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field with 10+ years’ experience, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience.
• Experience in designing and implementing control strategies aligned with best practices and assessing occupational safety in a metals manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of relevant industrial hygiene regulations.
• Proficient in data verification, correlation, report preparation, field monitoring, and data analysis.
• Developing policies/procedures based on OSHA guidelines.
• Experience in training development and execution.

Preferred
• Master’s degree in a relevant EHS field.
• Technical advisor capabilities for Performance Materials locations.
• Recommendations to improve Management Plan performance.
• Strong communication skills for delivering training and leading initiatives.
