Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS Manager)

Opportunity Summary:
The EHS Manager will play a critical role in developing and implementing safety and environmental programs to minimize risks, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a culture of workplace safety. This position requires a proactive leader with a strong background in occupational safety and environmental management within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct facility inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and train ergonomics teams to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.
• Compile and submit required accident reports to regulatory agencies and participate in investigations as needed.
• Conduct training sessions on safety, health, ergonomics, and federally regulated requirements for employees.
• Organize and present safety-related materials for training, promotional efforts, and wellness initiatives.
• Represent the organization in industry safety groups and community safety programs.
• Maintain and update the company's Safety Management System manual and associated policies.
• Prepare and submit reports to corporate offices and regulatory bodies such as WDNR, EPA, and fire departments.
• Maintain records of Safety Data Sheets and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement annual safety objectives in collaboration with the Executive Safety Committee.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
• Maintain and update Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Work towards obtaining and maintaining CSP certification.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations (Title 29 Part 1910), NFPA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent skills in policy development, training coordination, and safety program implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications as required by the company. #metrocareers
