Environment, Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager)

ITC Infotech is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Manager in Bengaluru, India. The role involves designing EHS management systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, conducting audits and inspections, and developing training programs. Responsibilities include liaising with government agencies, managing EHS documentation, and driving ISO certification processes. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with site operations to uphold EHS standards across multiple locations.
• Should be able to design, develop and establish EHS management systems, formulate policy documents, EHS plan, operational control procedures and associated EHS documents along with working knowledge on EHS compliances.
• Proficient in establishing HIRA and EIA
• Able to ensure compliance with statutory / legal requirements and be able to liaise with government agencies, contractors / vendors
• Carry out and ensure effective inspections / assessments / audits to eliminate / minimize incidents / accidents
• Develop and conduct & ensure effective and regular trainings and EHS activities like mock drill and awareness programs are caried out periodically
• Proficient in driving the audit programs for ISO 14001/45001/27001/9001 and as applicable from time to time
• Should be proficient in compliance monitoring and submissions for multiple locations in India , Asia pacific and other locations from time to time

Responsibilities:
• Create and setup EHS procedures & policy, compliance in accordance with applicable statutes, legal requirement and local govt laws and standards
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for the areas of OSHA and EHS management processes
• Ensure EHS committee is set up and regular monthly meetings are conducted and tracked on the actionable concerns and mitigated
• Liaise with government authorities and ensure work done compliance with EHS guidelines and objectives, identification of hazard, mitigation of risk / aspects and impacts
• Ensure EHS drives and communications are conducted timely
• Develop and ensure training programs like induction, firefighting, first aid and others based on ISO 14001 & 45001 for staff and workers are conducted regularly
• Conduct EHS inspections, assessment, audits and investigate accidents, raise NCR and provide appropriate solutions for mitigating across assigned locations
• Ensure EHS related documents like legal register, OCP Operational control procedure, HIRA, EIA , incident register , monthly EHS reports are created and maintained at all times
• Conduct meeting with site operation team and ensure effectiveness of EHS procedures
• Ensure emergency preparedness, use of PPE are in place with the site operation team and operated as per defined OP
• Timely generation of communication to management / audit reports , equipment testing and calibrations reports are established as per procedures
• Make certain organization achieves external certification on ISO 14001, 45001 or any other certification from time to time
• Ensure all allocated sites are compliant to necessary operating standards.
