The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• assisting the LSP or Senior Scientist overseeing and documenting response actions which involve the following:
• Immediate Response Actions,
• Release Abatement Measures and Phase I and II
• investigations at hazardous waste sites.
• You will also prepare scopes of work, including cost estimates and schedules, as well as complete consulting support for field service offices.

A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geology or a related discipline and a working knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and environmental guidance policies are required.

Position Summary and Skill Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines.
• 5+ years' experience in environmental assessment, remediation, or site construction with direct experience with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan.
• Work in the office and in the field and work with field staff and technicians to meet project objectives and project expectations. The scientist will part of the on-call rotation (every six weeks).
• Cost estimating and computer experience.
• Ability to review and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong environmental assessment/ remediation background and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of remedial technologies.
• Proficient in Windows based activities.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong customer management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Excellent interpersonal silks.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing remedial sites.
