About the position
Cadmus is seeking a Planning and Capacity Building Analyst to join our Resilient Infrastructure Practice Area within the Climate Line of Business. This role is pivotal in supporting clients with the design and delivery of large place-based technical assistance programs aimed at enhancing the capacity of under-served communities. The primary focus will be on helping these communities access and manage federal grants to implement transformative projects, particularly those aimed at restoring and reconnecting communities that have been adversely affected by transportation infrastructure. As a Planning and Capacity Building Analyst, you will work closely with senior staff to develop processes, reporting mechanisms, and responses to client needs across significant transportation and equity projects. Your role will involve synthesizing large amounts of data and technical resources into clear, actionable reports, and providing technical value to clients on planning, equity, and transportation topics. You will also be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, including stakeholder workshops and technical assistance seminars, ensuring that outreach and communications are tailored to meet the needs of diverse populations. In addition to these responsibilities, you will lead administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, note-taking, program planning, and financial management. Your ability to write, edit, and proofread documents, including contract deliverables, will be essential in ensuring high-quality client deliverables. This position may require occasional travel to meet client needs and support project execution.
Responsibilities
• Assist Cadmus senior staff in developing processes, reporting, and responding to client needs across large transportation and equity projects.

• Provide technical value to clients around planning, equity, and transportation topics.

• Synthesize large quantities of data or technical resources into easy to comprehend and action-oriented reports.

• Support the development, coordination, and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including stakeholder workshops, technical assistance seminars, and client meetings.

• Critically assess needs of diverse populations and clients to tailor outreach and communications to specific target audiences.
,
• Lead and support administrative tasks such as scheduling and organizing meetings, note-taking, program planning, and financial management.
,
• Write, edit, and proofread documents including contract deliverables.
,
• Complete work assigned by project managers in a timely and high-quality fashion.
,
• Ensure high-quality client deliverables in all activities.
,
• Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of applicable work experience working on public policy issues, transportation and/or equity planning, and experience working at local, regional, and/or state government preferred.

• A Master's degree in urban planning, public policy, public administration, or related field may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.
