Job Description

PosiGen is seeking an Enterprise DevOps Engineer in Houston, TX, to collaborate with the Development Operations team. Responsibilities include designing and implementing APIs, managing databases, and ensuring software efficiency through testing and debugging. The role requires experience in full-stack development, Azure DevOps, and cloud environments. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This position is not remote.
Summary

At PosiGen, we are looking for a passionate and creative Software Engineer to join our team. Your role will involve collaborating with the Development Operations team to translate requirements into technical solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable APIs and applications, to support DevOps. Your responsibilities will include writing effective APIs, ensuring software responsiveness and efficiency through testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing security and data protection settings. You should be comfortable working in an agile development environment and have experience with agile methodologies.

Essential Job Functions
• Work with development teams to ideate software solutions
• Collaborate and establish the technical strategy and offer insights on the deployment of Microsoft Azure & Google Workspace products and services
• Oversee technical aspects of change management processes
• Design and develop backend, server-side architecture
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade APIs and applications
• Create security and data protection settings
• Write technical documentation

Competencies
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience supporting and operating Active Directory / Entra, Microsoft Azure, and Google Workspace in an Enterprise Environment
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in various environments
• Experience implementing or developing application monitoring platforms
• Strong background in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient systems
• Knowledge of best practices in distributed systems
• Exposure to directory services and cloud identity providers (Okta, Google, Azure AD / Entra)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, NodeJS, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, Postgres), web servers (e.g. Apache)
• Ability to manage and maintain a multi-cloud environment to support production systems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind

Education/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications required
• 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps and code management solutions required
• 1+ years of experience interfacing with Salesforce API preferred
• Experience with solar SaaS APIs is a plus (Genability, Aurora Solar, Mosaic, etc)
• Familiarity with GitHub actions as pertains to CI/CD pipeline is a plus

Base Salary
$100,000—$115,000 USD
