Engineer, Environmental, Health, and Safety

TPI Composites is seeking an Engineer for Environmental, Health, and Safety in India. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, supervising departmental operations, and managing risk assessments. The candidate should have a degree in engineering and at least 4 years of experience. Responsibilities include participating in OHSE activities, advising on occupational health safety measures, and overseeing workplace safety protocols.
Description of the Job- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs his/her job in compliance with all the Procedures, Protocols, Instructions, Standards and Plans set out by the IMS in the framework of the company's integrated policies, acts in compliance with the "Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics" and "TPI Management Principles and Ethical Decision-Making System",
• Follows, implements and ensures compliance with all the instructions, procedures and announcements published on health, safety, environment and security,
• Ensures that the objectives and targets within the scope of the IMS policy are achieved,
• Ensures that the department works are conducted in compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Management Systems,Annually agrees with the department manager on objectives based on the performance evaluation program and works accordingly,
• Ensures that existing potential risks against the factory arising from environmental impacts, health and safety risks are controlled on the field, notices and evaluates new hazards and environmental impacts on the field and conducts the necessary communication for taking measures,
• Supervises all the operations of the relevant departments on the field to determine problematic areas and weak applications. Ensures that the employees work in compliance with their OHSE capabilities,
• Ensures that they fully understand the procedures they are required to follow by protecting the environment, health and safety throughout their work activities.

Accurately implements and supervises the procedures,
• Participates in the OHSE steering committee activities, coordinates the technical activities and the activities of the OHSE committees and work groups of the departments,Updates the reporting systems and control mechanisms (inputs, outputs, trends etc.),

Informs the employer in written regarding the required measures related with occupational health and safety,
• Advises the employer on the investigation of the causes of occupational accidents and diseases at the workplace and the measures to be taken to prevent recurrence,
• Works on and advises the employer on investigating the reasons of occupational accidents that do not cause death or injuries but may potentially harm the people or damage the machinery or equipment,
• Participates in the works and applications on occupational health and safety risk evaluation, advises the employer on and follows up the occupational health and safety measures required as a result of such risk evaluation,
• Oversees the working environment, plans periodic controls and measurements required pursuant to the occupational health and safety maintenance legislation and follows up implementation,Participates in the activities performed at the workplace to prevent accidents, fire and explosions, advises the employer in this respect, follows up implementation; supports the development of emergency plans for natural disasters, accidents, fire or explosion, monitors and follows up relevant periodic trainings and drills as well as compliance with the emergency plans

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education

Graduated from environmental/Chemical/Mechanical/Civil engineering or similar departments,

M.E/M.Tech Industrial Safety

Work Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience

Foreign Language/Grade

English (Good)
