Job Description

As a Dams and Hydropower Engineer, you will provide technical support in feasibility studies, design, and inspections related to dam structures, foundations, materials, spillways, and hydraulic analyses for dam and hydropower projects globally.

Responsibilities

Conduct dam safety inspections.

Design various types of dams, foundations, bottom outlets, and spillways.

Prepare project specifications, bills of quantities, and tender documents.

Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses.

Develop hydraulic models and design spillways and structures.

4 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Experience in dam inspections, design, rehabilitation, and emergency planning is advantageous.

Knowledge of hydrological studies and hydraulic analysis is advantageous.

Experience with hydraulic structure design is advantageous.

Familiarity with software tools like HEC-RAS, Rocscience Slide, Geostudio, AutoCAD, Civil 3D is highly advantageous.

Experience with construction supervision and dam engineering principles is advantageous.

Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Registration with ECSA as a Candidate.
