Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy and Sustainability Manager to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in evaluating emerging and existing energy-efficient technologies and sustainable business practices within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy conservation, sustainability, and program management.

Responsibilities:
• Evaluate emerging and existing energy-efficient technologies and sustainable business practices within the organization
• Conduct physical plant inspections to ensure proper operation and recommend repairs and/or renovations
• Identify opportunities for capital improvements projects to reduce energy costs and improve sustainability
• Serve as Project Manager for energy conservation projects and seek funding opportunities
• Develop and maintain utility consumption databases to monitor and audit utility billings and consumption
• Develop long-range plans for implementing energy conservation and recommend sound policies directed towards energy conservation
• Evaluate and develop potential projects or activities to lower utility costs and conserve energy throughout the organization
• Promote and coordinate energy conservation and sustainability measures with various stakeholders

Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and nine (9) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support
• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and seven (7) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and five (5) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and three (3) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at time of hire
• Preference: State of Alaska Professional Engineering certification in mechanical, electrical, civil, environmental engineering, or a closely related field
