Job Description

Americold Logistics is offering a 12-week, full-time paid internship for undergraduate or graduate students in Energy and Sustainability. Interns will work on projects related to sustainability practices, ESG reporting, and energy strategies while collaborating with organizational leaders. Candidates should be enrolled in a relevant degree program and possess strong communication and leadership skills. The position is based in Atlanta, GA and includes health benefits.
About the position

The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship designed for undergraduate or graduate students. Interns will gain valuable knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability while contributing to the supply chain industry. This opportunity allows interns to work on challenging projects, collaborate with organizational leaders, and develop both personally and professionally.

Responsibilities
• Learn fundamentals of Energy and Sustainability in 3rd Party Logistics.
,
• Observe, analyze, and improve efficiency in sustainability practices.
,
• Lead data collection for ESG reporting and goal setting.
,
• Conduct company training on ESG metrics and data collection.
,
• Align energy strategy with sustainability and capex strategies.
,
• Participate in Energy Waste Walks to promote energy conservation.
,
• Evaluate Energy ROI projects and track energy usage for savings potential.
,
• Coordinate and supervise Facility Services and Energy personnel for projects.
,
• Collaborate with teams to solve work-related issues and participate in safety training.
,
• Complete a reliability project and present findings to business leaders.
,
• Mine data to support recommendations for Reliability Maintenance projects.
,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project development.

Requirements
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Environmental Sciences or related field, preferably a rising senior.

• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs.
,
• Strong customer service orientation with a sense of urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
,
• Demonstrated leadership in prior work and academics.
,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
