Renewable Energy Project Development Professional

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Professional to join our team and contribute to the development, execution, and operation of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects.

About the Position:
• The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of the renewable energy project development life-cycle and be able to identify land opportunities for ideal development sites.
• The role requires the ability to handle negotiations and agreements with land owners and other stakeholders involved in land acquisition and development.
• Previous experience with land permitting is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and research land opportunities for utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects, collaborating with land-owners to drive community engagement.
• Contribute to initiatives related to site acquisition, financing, and development of utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects, including responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Negotiate site control agreements with landowners for utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects.
• Support development activities for both new and ongoing utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects, focusing on tax abatement, permitting, and environmental compliance.

Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, battery storage, LNG, or natural gas with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), developers, or owners.
• Hands-on experience with real estate transactions and contracts for projects with developers in renewables, natural gas, LNG, or energy storage.
• Thorough understanding of the RFP/RFQ process in relation to project development initiatives.
• Proficiency in project siting, permitting, prospecting, and due diligence initiatives for utility-scale renewable projects.
• Experience with site prospecting, land negotiations, and project financing initiatives.
• Familiarity with energy storage, battery storage, or solar + storage is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
