Job Description
Noblis is hiring an Energy Research Analyst in Fort Belvoir, VA, to provide consulting and technical support for federal clients in petroleum products. Responsibilities include analyzing inventory accounts, compiling reports, and supporting data analytics. The role requires a relevant degree or experience and an active DoD SECRET security clearance. The position is hybrid but prefers candidates in the DMV area for on-site support.
Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking a dynamic Energy Research Analyst to provide the federal client with consulting, technical support services, and accountability and oversight of petroleum products.
This role will support the client mission of a central distributor of energy generating products to stakeholders throughout the world to satisfy requirements for refined petroleum products, natural gas, electricity, coal, and missile fuels.
The federal client has a need for energy consulting and technical support to provide timely and accurate review and analysis of petroleum inventory accounts and transaction data details (e.g., sales, credits, shipments, receipts). Support will include working with and developing relationships throughout the organization to resolve discrepancies.
This position is currently hybrid, with preference for the candidate to reside in the DMV area and have the flexibility to support the customer on a weekly basis, on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Core duty hours are between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support DoD Petroleum Industry, Inventory, and Supply Chain tasks
• Compile reports and support traditional administrative functions
• Support data analytics tasks
• Basic understanding of general accounting principles and inventory process controls
• Ability to adapt to tasks and prioritize work requirements
• Support statistical analysis tasks
• Broad understanding of petroleum energy operations
• Be a self-starter and work well as part of a team
• Speak, read, and write the English language fluently
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.
• An active DoD SECRET security clearance is required for this role.
• Demonstrated experience/knowledge of DoD petroleum inventory and related supply chain operations
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics Management
• Experience with supply chain management of bulk petroleum
• Knowledge and functionality of Fuels Manager Defense (APSR)
• Experience with statistical analysis

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
Posted Salary Range
USD $70,000.00 - USD $109,375.00 /Yr.
