As we expand our electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, we are looking for an experienced and driven EV Technician to join our team.

Job Purpose

The EV Technician will be responsible for on site services regarding maintenance and repair of electric vehicle charging stations and related infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and safety protocols to ensure optimal performance and reliability of EV charging solutions. The EV Technician is also responsible for supporting the PV Field Technician. The EV Technician is expected to have a working knowledge of SolarEdge and other PV monitoring systems to effectively and thoroughly support the PV Technician role.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform tests and commission EV charging stations for commercial and industrial applications.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on EV chargers and related electrical systems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement solutions in compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Read and interpret internal software, schematics, and technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation for all and maintenance and repairs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to personnel regarding the use and maintenance of EV charging stations.
• Handle confidential data professionally.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the management team(s).

Skills & Qualifications

The following list represents the core competencies needed for success in this position.
• EVITP Certification, required.
• Associate degree or certification in electrical technology, engineering, or a related field, preferred.
• State certified electrician (Journeyman) or equivalent field experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installations, maintenance, or EV infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC codes, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with various EV charger brands and networked charging systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• High School or GED
• Experience:
• Experience with PDF editor, Google Docs and Sheets (or Word and Excel), and a general computing background
