Energy Policy Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Energy Policy Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Policy & Ratings team to support the development of building codes, product standards, and other policies through a data-driven analytical approach.

As an Energy Policy Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including analyzing zero-carbon and energy efficient technologies in the context of energy policy. You will also help craft long-term market transformation strategies intended to accelerate the market adoption rate of zero-carbon and energy efficient measures and technologies.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Analysis of zero-carbon and energy efficient technologies using physics engines such as EnergyPlus and applying statistical methods and other post-processing analyses to results.
• Supporting senior engineering staff to develop product testing plans, oversee testing regimens at accredited test labs, and perform analysis on test results for product categories undergoing standards updates.
• Writing reports on technical topics in support of codes and standards rulemakings, proposals to change test methods and minimum energy performance standards proposals, code readiness and emerging technology studies, and other public-facing documents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy policy, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field. Knowledge of Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and other energy codes is also required.

The compensation package includes a salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 per year, along with a generous retirement package, medical, dental and vision insurance, and pre-tax contribution plans.
