Edison Electric Institute is hiring an Energy Policy Advisor in Bloomington, IL. The role involves supporting environmental compliance and advocacy within the Clean Energy Policy team. Candidates should have expertise in federal rulemaking and environmental law, with strong communication skills to engage with federal agencies. A Juris Doctor degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience are required. This is a full-time position.
Edison Electric Institute is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Legal and Clean Energy Policy team. As Counsel/Associate General Counsel, Clean Energy, you will be responsible for providing critical support in shaping the industry's stance on environmental compliance and advocacy efforts.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the federal rulemaking process, Clean Air Act issues, and environmental permitting procedures. They will work closely with EEI members to develop and implement policy positions on clean energy and federal regulatory issues.

This role requires exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You will engage with federal agencies, including the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of the Interior (DOI), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to advocate for the industry's interests.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring valuable insights to this critical role. If you have a Juris Doctor degree and at least 5-10 years of experience in environmental law, we encourage you to apply.
