Job Description
BMW is offering an internship in Energy Planning and Management in Spartanburg, SC. Interns will support sustainability projects, engage in energy efficiency initiatives, conduct data analysis, and assist in forecasting for the Americas. Candidates should be enrolled students in relevant fields with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must work full-time on-site. The internship provides hands-on experience and potential career progression within the company.
Internship opportunity in energy planning and management with hands-on experience in sustainability projects.
Your Role:
Key responsibilities include:
• Support Energy Planning and Energy Management Team initiatives.
• Participate in Energy Efficiency projects, supporting CO2-free/renewable energy and sustainability targets for 2030.
• Provide Energy Center Operations Support.
• Assist in Energy Forecasting for the Americas Region.
• Evaluate and manage Energy Efficiency Projects.
• Conduct Energy Data Analysis and Reporting.
• Evaluate Solar Photovoltaic and Other Renewable Energy Projects.
• Assess 2030 CO2-free Energy Target.
• Support Business Case Analysis for Energy Saving projects.
• Scout for innovative Energy solutions.
• Engage in Financial project steering.
• Perform Data Analysis and Support.
• Develop Energy Planning and Energy Management skills.
• Understand the automotive manufacturing process.
• Manage projects in a complex and diverse environment.
• Plan and schedule with internal and external partners.
• Manage groups and work in an international project environment.
• Develop intercultural competencies.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or similar fields.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• A GPA from the current university for transfer students.
• A copy of an unofficial transcript.
• Ability to complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
