About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, responsible for overseeing the revenue, offtake, and trading functions within the energy division. The role involves developing revenue strategies, identifying and negotiating offtake agreements, managing trading strategies, and contributing to the strategic growth of the energy portfolio.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Energy, the ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, including 5+ years in the energy sector and 2+ years in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, negotiate, and secure power purchase agreements (PPAs), tolling agreements, and other offtake contracts.
• Develop and oversee operational asset trading strategies, ensuring effective implementation and performance review.
• Manage submissions for government tenders.
• Support the development team in identifying and securing assets to build a diversified portfolio.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to improve revenue and capital structures for projects.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
• Foster collaboration across broader project teams.
• Mentor junior team members and support internal governance activities.

About You

• Proven success in tenders for offtake or hedging agreements.
• Exposure to various revenue management technologies and approaches.
• 5+ years of experience in the Australian energy sector with a deep understanding of the National Electricity Market.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, commerce, finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into useful insights.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
