Job Description

STRATCO Property Solutions is seeking a full-time Energy Modeler in New Jersey. The role involves using energy modeling software to simulate buildings and energy systems, analyzing energy consumption, and proposing efficiency improvements. Candidates should have a relevant degree and prior experience in energy modeling. Familiarity with New Jersey's Clean Energy programs and tools like eQuest and Energy Plus is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
• We are seeking a motivated and skilled Energy Modeler to join our dynamic team.
• Utilize energy modeling software to create simulations of buildings and energy systems.
• Applicants must have a clean valid driver’s license and own automobile.
• The applicant will be responsible for the New Jersey Clean Energy New Construction Program(FY25 RNC Program Guide v1.pdf) while some familiarity is preferred, it is not required.
• Proficient with using eQuest, Trace 3D, and Energy Plus.
• Experience with IRA HER (Home Efficiency Rebates) and Clean Heat Custom Applications.
• Identify weaknesses in existing energy systems and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze energy consumption patterns and recommend improvements.
• Develop strategies to reduce energy costs while meeting sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate energy-efficient design principles.
• Evaluate renewable energy options and assess their feasibility.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to energy systems and industry trends.
• Stay informed about market developments, regulations, and best practices.
• Knowledge of the New Jersey New Construction program is a plus.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience working as an energy modeler is required.
