• Create and evaluate scenarios to assess the impact of policy changes, renewable integration, and other variables on market behaviour and system reliability.
• Gather, clean, and validate datasets, including demand profiles, generation data, fuel costs, and price trends.
• Interpret model results and provide actionable insights and recommendations through clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to align models with business views and deliver impactful results.
• Enhance modelling techniques, streamline workflows, and stay updated on industry advancements.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in modelling assumptions and outcomes.

About you

You will have:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R, SQL).
• Proven experience with energy market modelling tools (e.g., PLEXOS, PROMOD)
• Strong understanding of electricity markets (especially NEM), and experience in scenario modelling and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and policies impacting energy markets, particularly in Australia.
• Skilled in data analysis, including working with large datasets, cleaning, and validation.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings.
