Job Description

SitelogIQ is hiring an Energy Engineer in Nashville, TN, to support energy management programs for K-12 sites. The role involves on-site energy efficiency assessments, client coordination, and collaboration with teams to achieve energy savings goals. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least one year of experience in the energy industry. Responsibilities include data analysis, training, and preparing reports.

The Energy Engineer will work with a team of energy specialists and support the energy management program for our client in Nashville, TN. This includes on-site operational and behavioral support to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy related costs for K-12 sites. This position provides general energy management support to the client, and includes collaboration with internal team members and external clients to drive efficiency and effective energy management practices. Energy Engineers are accountable for achieving specific energy efficiency and/or production goals and program goals.

Energy Engineer Responsibilities:
As an Energy Engineer, you will be the vital link between SitelogIQ and our on-going energy programs with the client. Your role will be to ensure that the company provides excellent service and results for our clients while actively promoting safe practices and embracing new approaches to accomplish our work more efficiently and effectively.

The following responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of the company and employee interest level:
• Coordinate with clients for energy assessments and educational training lessons.
• Download, analyze, verify and process utility data for Energy Use Analysis (EUA).
• Guide, facilitate, and track the activities of clients as they progress in the energy management process to achieve energy savings.
• Provide training to facilities management, custodial, office staff, teachers, and students as necessary.
• Perform routine on-site energy use and energy efficiency assessments at client facilities and report findings and suggestions to clients.
• Complete checklists, documentation, and photography of energy management, and educational work or tasks via spreadsheet and/or in Work Management System.
• Support sales staff with data, sales material, and case studies.
• Develop creative ways to achieve program objectives and scope relevant tasks to maintain customer expectations and work effectively and efficiently
• Coordinate with team and external partners to provide consistent customer service and to provide feedback supporting continuous improvement of the program.
• Prepare energy reports for Management, clients, or others.
• Any other job duties as assigned.

Energy Engineer Qualifications:

Minimum
• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or a related field
• 1+ year experience in the Energy industry
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and must pass live scan screening
• Experience presenting to a variety of audiences in terms of age, background, and size of group
• Technical aptitude and detail-oriented
• Organized in a fast-paced environment with changing and/or competing priorities

Preferred
• Familiarity with utility, energy efficiency, and/or renewable generation including solar
• Knowledge of building operations and/or energy-consuming equipment
• Experience working with commercial or education clientele
• Experience working with energy programs or promoting energy efficiency in a business setting is a plus
• Fluent with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs

Working Conditions:
• May be requested to be available for traveling on-site for duties or supervision as needed which may be afterhours or on weekends
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds, and must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Energy Engineers work under a variety of conditions and in various settings depending on the client agreement
